ProStart × WHI Speaker Series

Bring Hospitality Leadership Into Your Classroom

The Nevada Restaurant Association Educational Foundation is proud to partner with the Women’s Hospitality Initiative (WHI) to connect Nevada ProStart students with hospitality professionals throughout the school year.

Each session gives students the opportunity to hear directly from industry leaders about their careers, leadership experiences, challenges, and the many pathways available within hospitality. Sessions are designed to be engaging, conversational, and relevant to students who are beginning to think about what comes next.

How the Series Works

Most sessions will be hosted in person at one CCSD ProStart school, with other registered classrooms invited to join live virtually. Host schools are selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each presentation runs approximately 60-90 minutes, including time for student questions and discussion. The exact presentation time will be coordinated with the selected host school and speaker.

Participation is free for Nevada ProStart programs.

Want to Host?

For hybrid sessions, choose Host This Session during registration if you would like the speaker to visit your school in person. Only one host school is available for each date.

If the host opportunity has already been claimed, you can still register your class to attend virtually.

Speaker Announcements

Speakers will be announced throughout the school year as each session is confirmed. Register early if there is a date that works especially well for your class - you do not need to wait for the speaker announcement to reserve your spot.
