Wage & Hour Compliance

Nevada minimum wage is $12.00/hr (as of July 1, 2024). The two-tier health benefit system was eliminated. Tip pooling rules, overtime thresholds, and paid leave requirements all apply. NvRA members can call the legal hotline with questions.

Liquor Licensing

Liquor licensing in Nevada is handled at the county or city level. Clark County, Washoe County, and municipalities each have separate licensing boards. NvRA monitors regulatory changes statewide and secured the AB375 win in 2025.

Paid Leave & Scheduling

Nevada employers with 50+ employees must provide 0.01923 hours paid leave per hour worked (approx. 40 hrs/year). Leave accrues from day one, usable after 90 days, for any reason. Smaller employers should verify local ordinances.
