NvRA PAC Legislative Caucus Series

Put Nevada's Restaurant
Industry at the Table.

These receptions bring restaurant operators face to face with the legislative caucuses that write and vote on the bills affecting your business.

About the Series

The Capitol Comes to Your Turf.

Four receptions across the year give Nevada's restaurant industry one voice in front of the people who write the laws.

The NvRA PAC Legislative Caucus Series hosts a reception for each of Nevada's legislative caucuses, bringing the restaurant and hospitality community into the same room as the legislators who write and vote on the bills that affect your operation every day.

These are receptions rather than fundraisers, and each one is held at a Nevada restaurant so the conversation happens on the industry's turf, with operators and legislators talking directly about the bills that affect real businesses.

What to Expect

You Get a Room, Not a Podium.

Direct Access

The format is an open reception built for conversation, so there is no panel, no head table, and no speaking program running the clock.

Hosted at a Restaurant

Every reception is held at a Nevada restaurant, so legislators see the industry they are voting on in the room where it operates.

Bipartisan by Design

The series covers every caucus, because the NvRA PAC works with the members who take restaurant issues seriously regardless of party.

Sept 29 Venue

Mint Indian Bistro

Mint Indian Bistro started with a husband and wife who wanted Las Vegas to taste the India they grew up with. Kris and Bindi Parikh opened the East Flamingo dining room in 2008 and cooked their way through family recipes, keeping the classics intact and giving them room to breathe. Eighteen years later the family runs four locations across Southern Nevada and St. George, Utah, and the standard has not moved: spices imported from India, ingredients sourced locally where possible, and every dish built with the same attention the first one got.

FAQ

Common Questions

Who can attend?

Anyone in the restaurant and hospitality community can attend. You do not need to be an NvRA member, though we think you should be, and registration is required so we can plan the room.

Is this a fundraiser?

No, the Legislative Caucus Series is a set of receptions, and the purpose is access and relationships between operators and legislators rather than fundraising.

What should I expect at the reception?

Expect an open reception at a member restaurant with food, drink, and time to talk. Come with the issues affecting your operation, because that is what the legislators in the room are there to hear.

Will the other caucuses get a reception?

Yes, the series runs across the year and covers each legislative caucus, and dates and venues for the remaining receptions are announced on this page as they are confirmed.
