What Is BMI Music Licensing?
BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) represents over 1.4 million songwriters and more than 25 million musical works. If your bar, restaurant, brewery, winery, or eating and drinking establishment plays music publicly -- whether live, DJ, karaoke, jukebox, streaming, radio, CD, or TV -- you are legally required to hold a public performance license.
NvRA members receive a 5% discount for being an association member, plus an additional 5% for licensing or paying online or by phone. Paying within 30 days adds a 10% timely payment discount. Flexible seasonal plans are available for operations that are not open year-round.
