Our Mission
The Nevada Restaurant Association is the unified voice for more than 7,000 food and beverage establishments across Nevada. From iconic Las Vegas resorts to neighborhood bistros in Reno, from family diners in rural communities to fast-casual concepts serving locals and tourists alike.
Founded in 1982, NvRA has grown into the definitive advocate for an industry that employs 231,000+ Nevadans and generates $23.3 billion in annual sales. We are Nevada's largest private employer and a cornerstone of communities statewide.
Our mission rests on three pillars: Promoting the restaurant industry as an economic engine, Protecting operators from harmful regulation and taxation, and Educating current and future hospitality professionals.

NvRA founded to give Nevada's growing restaurant industry a collective voice in state government.
Key Milestones
Defeated meal break mandates, blocked gross receipts tax increases, secured statewide cocktails-to-go rights, and launched Nevada's ProStart culinary program -- among hundreds of legislative wins since 1982.
2025: AB 375
Authored and passed statewide cocktails-to-go legislation with near-unanimous support, projecting $50M+ in new revenue.
