What is ProStart?

ProStart is a national two-year high school program developed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. The program teaches culinary arts and restaurant management through a combination of classroom instruction and real-world experience.

Students who complete the program earn a nationally recognized ProStart Certificate of Achievement, industry certifications including ServSafe, and are eligible for scholarships to culinary schools and hospitality programs nationwide.

In Nevada, the NvRA Foundation administers the ProStart program, working with high schools across the state to bring culinary education to students who may be the future of our industry.
